離婚の手続きが終わり、運転免許書とソーシャルセキュリティーの名前は変更したのですが、私が調べてみた限りでは、グリーンカードの名前を旧姓に戻すには、$290とI-90を提出しなければならないようなのですが、皆さんどうしていらっしゃいますか? 離婚後すぐにグリーンカードの名義を変えられましたか? それとも、10年後の更新の時にいっしょにというわけにはいかないものでしょうか? 経験者の方教えてください。

私の場合は、離婚してもそのままの名字を使用していました。
その後再婚したのですが、名字は前の結婚の時の名字のままでした。
先に、ソーシャルセキュリティーの方の名字を変更に行ったのですが、グリーンカードの名字を変更してから再度来るように言われました。
みちみちさんは、問題なく名字変更が出来たのですね。
何で私の時には駄目だったのでしょうか??（ちょっと疑問ですよね）
結局、グリーンカードの更新の時に名字の変更を一緒に行いました。
その後、ソーシャルセキュリティーと免許書の変更が出来ました。

私の場合は、離婚の手続きのときに旧姓に戻す願いをしたので、離婚が成立した後、それを証明する書類を提出してソーシャルセキュリティーの名義変更をしたので、すぐに苗字を旧姓に戻すことができました。
名義変更さんは、前のご主人の苗字のままで今のご主人と再婚されて、グリーンカードの更新のときに、現在のご主人の苗字に変更をされたんですね。 その間、住所の変更とか有りましたか? もしそうだとしたら、住所変更とか提出していましたか?
