J1で去年から企業でインターンをしています。
1040NREZでタックスリターンをすると、
数百ドルの追加になってしまいました・・・。
Jはほとんど返ってくると聞いていたのでびっくりしています。
日米租税条約というものでJは免税と聞いたのですが、
それを書く欄がみあたりません。
どなたか教えていただけませんか?
よろしくお願いします。

企業でインターンしてるってことは、J-1 InternもしくはJ-1 Traineeでしょうか。Social Security, Medicare, Federal Unemployment は免除のはずです。
Income Tax は支払う必要があると思いますよ。
ビザスポンサーから送られてきたハンドブックに、案内がないでしょうか?

知り合いの人は去年ほとんど戻ってきたと言っていたし
Jは免税と聞いていたのですが、どうなんでしょうか・・・。
会計事務所に頼むと数百ドルかかるので赤字です。
インターンをしている人はLAに結構いると思うのですが、
みなさん収入の1割くらい払ったままなのでしょうか?
DS2019の団体からは何も案内はありませんでした・・・。
どなたか経験者の方いたらアドバイスお願いします。

J-1でも収入によってはＴａｘを払うということで、タックスリターンをお願いしました。 自分の場合は昨年は収入が少なかったので結果的にはＴａｘはゼロで、給与からとられてたぶんが全部返ってきました。 将来H-1を申し込むときにタックスリターンをしてるほうがいいとかも聞いたんですが、とりあえずやってよかったです。
