アメリカの交通ルールについて質問です。
2車線の一般道路を走っていると、対向車線で事故があり、消防車が止まっていました。
走行中の車線も1車線（対向車線寄り）にパトカーが斜めに止まっていました。
そして、道路を横断する形で、発煙筒が並べられていました。
そこに進入して、一番右のあいている車線を通過していいかわからずに、発煙筒の手前で止まっていたのですが、私を追い越して、数台が通過したために、私もあとに続いたのですが、私の後ろの車両が通過しようとしたところ、警官の「HEY！！」という声が聞こえ、ミラーを見ると、後方の車に何か言っているようでした。
私は、そのまま徐行運転で通過したわけですが・・・・。
このような場合、私が通過したのは、違反になるのでしょうか?
発煙筒が道路を横切るように並べてあるときは、通過してはいけないのでしょうか。
また、違反だったとして、その場で切符を切られなかった場合、後日、何らかの通達がくることはありますか???
その場で何も言われず通り過ぎたものの、野次馬のかたも何人かいたので、写真を撮られていて、違反したことになっていたらどうしようかと思いました。実は、1週間後に帰国が決まっているので、通知が来ても知らないまま、大変なこと（国外逃亡者?！）になったらどうしようかと不安になっております。
そこで、もしこちらの交通ルールや違反切符について詳しい方がいらっしゃったら、教えていただけますでしょうか。よろしくお願いします。

片道?２車線? のことですよね?
状況が読み取みにくいですが、数台、同じ行動だったみたいなので
心配ないと思います。
まぁ～、チケットを切れれてないので、大丈夫でしょう。
違反チケットは、確か本人にサインさせてから
もらった記憶がありますので・・ ＾＾’’

自分の前の車は進行した。
自分はそのあとを続いた。
自分の後ろの車が警官になにか言われていた。
ということでしょうか?
なんで違反の心配してるんでしょう?
単純に、後ろの車がなんかしたんじゃないんでしょうか?
そんなことでいちいち悩んでしたらLAではノイローゼになっちゃいますよ。

後からくるなんてことは絶対ないです。LAPDはそんなに暇じゃないです。
