今ホームステイしている学生です。近々アパートに移りたいと考えてるんですが、もちろんＳＳ＃は持ってません。やはりＳＳ＃が無ければ借りられないですか？でも、留学生の人でもアパート借りて暮らしてる人多いですよね。あまりそーゆー人が近くにいないもんで・・・、借りる時に何が必要かだとか、詳しいこと教えてください。

ＳＳ持って無くてもＡＰＴは借りれるよ。高級ＡＰＴでも大丈夫だよ。そういう人のアプリもあるくらいだから・・、ただし、保証人は必要だと思う。

SS#が無くても借りれます。私は今のAPTには SS#を提示してません。でも、借りれました。
中には、SS#にこだわるところもあるみたいですが、最近は SS#が無くても貸してもらえるようになってきてます。
最近 SS#のあり方が見直されてきてるからだと思います。だから、直接聞いてみると 案外 APTかしてくれますよ。

SSN、ようするにクレジットヒストリー云々ですが、銀行の残高証明でOKなところもありますよ。貸手としては取りっぱぐれが無ければいいわけなんです。しかしアパートによっては残高証明ではダメで月収いくら以上とか決めているとこともありますね。まさにアパートによりけりなんでOKなところを探すしかないと思います。

私はこの夏からアパートに住んでいますが、今のアパートは銀行残高証明とパスポートの写し、I−２０の写しだけで借りられました。
ただしアパートによって求める書類等は違いました。１０箇所ほどアパートをまわって、銀行残高証明とパスポートの写し、I−２０の写しだけでオッケーだったのは３箇所くらいだったかな。
カリフォルニア在住の保証人が必要だったり。SSNについては、「ありません」と言えば特に要求しなかったと思います。
