炊飯器の買い替えを考えてますが、アメリカで日本の炊飯器で手に入る物で5カップで＄300あたりでオススメがあれば、教えて下さい。宜しくお願い致します。

お勧めの銘柄を知りたいんだと思うけど、こちらでは日本の家電量販店みたいに詳しい店員とかいないもんね。
アマゾンジャパンやカカクコムとかで口コミ評価を調べて、気に入ったものがこちらでも売られているか日系スーパーで探すのが、手間はかかるけど一番納得感が大きいやり方なんじゃないかな。

アマゾンの口コミで見る限りZojirushiに人気が集中していますね。（販売シェアにもよりますが・・・）
価格は２割以上日系スーパーの方が安いようです。（ミツワオンラインショッピング参照）
最近の日本の家電は、高機能でシンプルかつ低価格なジェネリック家電がトップメーカーの脅威になっています。
特許が切れたワンシーズン前のトップメーカーの機能をそのまま使用しています。
その分、修理などサービス面に力を入れることができ、価格も半値以下に抑えられるようです。

私は、買ったことはないですが、ぜひ、www.target.com チェックして見てください。日系スーパーの人に攻撃されるかな?

今日わわわにサンヨーの本来＄３５０の炊飯器が＄２００でクリアランスセールしてました。
他社の同等のを買おうとしたら＄３５０以上はします。

我がバレーにあった Sanyo America Headquarters は完全に締めました。それにアメリカも日本も会社自体がもうないんじゃないですか。完全に Panasonic に吸収されたようです。
ただアメリカの Customer Support は Panasonic が行っています。

アメリカでは消費者を敵に回したら大変なことになるので、サンヨーを引き取ったパナもカスタマーサポートをやらざるをえません。Warranty などの面倒も必要最小限度のことはやっているでしょう。ただ保障期間の過ぎた炊飯器の内釜などの入手は非常に難しいのではないでしょうか。新品で買ったものも壊れるまで使い切るしかないでしょう。栄枯盛衰の世の中ですね。
ちなみに、うちで使っている５合炊き炊飯器はパナ製のモデル SR-MM110NS で、日本へ帰る学生さんが置いていってくれたもので、今でも後生大事に使っています。
