現在、ロサンジェルスにおいて、香港の会社名義でオフィス賃貸をしております。契約は１年契約なのですが、ビジネスがうまくいかなくなり半年を残してオフィス料を支払えなくなりそうです。契約書によると、途中契約は残りの金額を一括で支払うように書かれています。会社は休眠に入り、支払力もないので放置する以外の方法がありません。こう言った場合、どのように扱えばよかったでしょうか？ちなみに、知人が日本で同様の状況に陥ったとき、そのまま放置していて問題なかったことを聞いております。

正直にlandlordに事情を話して、1,2ヶ月分のレントしか払えないと交渉してみれば。
こういうご時世だから夜逃げされるより、少しでも払って貰った方がlandlordにとっても良いだろうし。
