現在９年生の子供を持つ母です。
アメリカの大学学費がすごく高いとの事で漠然とした不安を抱えています。
周りの友人などに聞こうにもそれぞれの家計事情もある為（年収や持ち家かどうかなど）
詳しく突っ込んで聞きにくい状況です。
そこで、現役大学生のお子さんをお持ちの方詳しく教えていただけますか?
学費（グラントやスカラシップの内容含め）、貯金額（その内教育費への内訳）、子供の数（学年）、年収、住居費（持ち家か賃貸）、老後資金などなど。
よろしくお願いします。

おっしゃるとおり当方の情報を出さないで聞くのは失礼でした。
子供３人（高校生、中学生、小学生）
貯蓄額：約６万ドル 世帯年収：９万ドル程度
持ち家（モゲージ残高２５万ドル程）
一番知りたいのは学費に関することなので、
もしよろしければ、実際にかかった学費の内訳等だけはどうでしょうか?参考にしたいと思います。
しかし個々の家庭によって違ってくるのでファイナンシャルプランナーの方に相談するのがベストですね。相談してみようと思います。

言葉足らずでした。私学ならその大学のホームページに、奨学金を計算できるページがありますので探してください。カレッジボードのホームページで計算できるものは、公立と私立で計算できますが、個々の大学に関してはできません。

知人がスタンフォードに留学
年8万ドル程度だと思います。
高額な学校は内容も良いです。

前にここで見つけた奨学金のセミナーに参加して得たかじりかけの情報ですが１０万ドル程度の収入の家庭なら公立ならほとんどFinancial Aid はなし、私立ならかなり出る或はほとんどFinancial Aidで賄えるとか。合格したら実際に幾らエイドがでるかわかるので、その時点で払えそうな大学を選べばいいらしいです。 ちなみにうちはもう少し所得が低いので私立大学の授業料は全免除です。
