トヨタのアメリカの本社があったトーランスの地ですが、
恐らく、まだ１００％は引越しが済んでいないと思いますが、
そこの跡地はどうなるか知っている人いますか？？
色々な噂が飛び交っていて、グーグルが来る！とか、イーベイが来る！とか、アマゾンが来る！とか・・・・。
いずれにせよ、
ホーソン通りにフェラーリのディーラーや、マセラッティのディーラーが建っているのを見ると何かしらの会社の待ち受け体制がととのえられてるように思えます・・・。
どなたか知ってますか！？？

今現在、金持ちが住むエリアは景気が良く開発が進んでいるが、
ガーデナやカーソンなどのはずれに行くと for lease ばかりが目につくようになる。
格差によるエグイ二極化が進んで来てますね。

トヨタのテキサス引越し完了でサウスベイの日系どこも閑古鳥が鳴いているよ。
今月半ばあたりからレストランの売り上げが愕然と落ちたわ。

私の勝手な想像では、
グーグルのようなドデカイ”IT企業”は企業の性質から言ってこのような全米一二を争う大都会には来ないと思います。
まず第一に頭脳を売りにする Labor が高すぎること。立地条件としてド田舎でもグーグルが社員を募集すれば頭脳労働者が引っ越してでも集まってくること。そして田舎なら住宅費用や物価も安いので、その分同じ能力の頭脳労働者を安く雇える。
それにトヨタやホンダのような車関係の外国大手企業ではないので国際空港や大規模な港湾が近くにある必要がない。
ざっと考えてもこのような条件で、グーグルやアマゾンなどが大きな社屋を建てる場合まず頭脳 Labor の安い場所を選ぶのではないでしょうか。

今いるシリコンバレーのほうがこっちより全てにおいて1.5倍はコストが高いです
それに、その市なり州なりが良いオファーを出して誘致しますので空港や港湾があろうとなかろうと車関係の企業でも関係ありません。
大体、ホンダはオハイオです。海はありません。不便なら移りますか？

American Honda Motorここから歩いて行ける距離 それとお隣さんは
白人でホンダで仕事してるけど彼はもともとオハイオから移動して
きた人で以前ホンダさんは移りますかと聞いたとき移らないと返事されまし

北米のCEO含めトップは既にオハイオに行ってますよ。
つまり、トーランスのほうは支社となるわけですよね
トヨタはテキサスに移りましたが、オフィスはまだガーデナ、トーランスにあるのと同じです。
アメホンだろうがR&DだろうがCEOがいるのが本社です。
つまり会社が他州に引っ越したと言いきっても間違ってませんよ
