I would like to fly from LAX to Fukuoka airport and back in 2 weeks. Last year, I bought a ticket around this time of the year, and I made a round trip for ＄ 650 during the GW season.

Does it go up that much in a year ？?

Airline tickets,

From my limited knowledge, LAX - NRT/HND flights are more expensive from June to September, and domestic flights are more expensive at the end of the year ・ New Year, the end of the fiscal year (around March 31 ）, GW, Obon vacations, etc.).

LAX - HND on May 9 ～ May 23 next year, I checked Delta, ANA and JAL (Code Share with AA) and found $ 801.23, $ 802.24 and $ 807.64. The prices are close to each other as if there was a backroom deal. As Mr. Airplane Ticket says, prices used to be in the $600 range, but now that inbound travel in Japan is saturating the market, the airlines are getting more aggressive. If you really want to find a cheap flight, you have to choose a time when it is cold and people don't want to move. Even for domestic flights in Japan, there are some cheap sales on flights 2 ～ 3 months in advance in places like Itami, Fukuoka, Sapporo, etc., away from the holidays. However, since the cheapest flights are those with the lowest demand time in a day, I don't think the time is suitable for connecting flights from here. On the other hand, ANA's Haneda flight arrives early in the morning at 5:00 a.m., so I can wait until the first flight in the afternoon, which is probably the cheapest.

LAX-HND flights May 4, 2019 (Sat) ～ If you put in May 12, 2019 (日), it's $1,470 on ANA and a whopping $1,697 on Delta.

It seems that if you don't purchase your reservation early, it will be filled up soon, which is a great price for Golden Week.
