I send my daughter to Central Union ！
She is currently in the 3 year old class and will be transferring to Hana Hau'oli in August as she was accepted ！

The school itself is very laid back and fun for kids to play. It is a preschool.
It was good for them to attend for a year to get them used to the school ！

But the number of students accepted to Punahou and Iolani has been low at Central Union for the past few years, as the former people mentioned.
It seems that there are many children who are not even accepted to mid-pack.
We also took the Hana Hau'oli and Montessori Community at age 4 because we wanted them to go to Punahou and Iolani. We took the Hana Hau'oli and Montessori Community entrance exams at age 4 because we wanted our child to go to Punahou or Iolani and Montessori Community was the best choice. My child was unfortunately
wait listed for the Montessori community, but we were lucky enough to be accepted from Hana Hau'oli. The entrance exam is a matter of fate ！

If you are thinking of applying to Kinder, you can choose at 4 years old like I did ！.

My daughter is preparing to take the Kinder exam next year. We are not considering public schools.
I would like to put her in Punahou or Iolani, but if I can't start her in Kinder, I would like to start her in Middle.

Good morning, I am a Montessori school teacher and I would like to share my experience with you. My son transferred from Le Jardin to Montessori Community School. In fact, we took the Montessori Community School entrance exams at 2, 3, and 4 years old all of which were unsuccessful, and we were placed in the WAIT POOL, but it did not come around.
Miraculously, I was accepted at Kinder and am attending.
One of my classmates is from Central Union.
According to her mom, many kids from Central Union took the Kinder exam to Montessori Community School, but
only 2 kids were accepted.
Two years ago, it seems that about 70% of Central Union graduates ended up going to Public.
Kinder exams are fiercely competitive...

Montessori Community School is a difficult school to get into, as we learned the hard way when we took the test at 2, 3, and 4 years old.
If you just get in, you can really see your child's independence, personality, cooperation, and academic skills grow considerably. My child also enjoys attending the school.
Activities are offered in abundance, and we are very happy with the education that includes gardening, science, art, and sports in addition to academics.

I wanted to send my child to Punahou and Iolani after he had found what he wanted to do, so
Elementary will continue to attend
a Montessori community that brings out the academic and personal potential that will allow him to pass Punahou and Iolani 99% of the time. I will continue to send her there. There is no middle so we will take the Punahouiolani exam at that time.

Tips for passing...?
I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not...? I was very much aware that it was a very difficult school to get in, so I submitted an application in which I expressed my enthusiasm and how much I was interested in Montessori education

My son recently graduated from Central Union ！
The school is a great environment and he made many friends
because of the large number of students.
As for the entrance exams to Punahou and Iolani, the final results this year were 4 students from Punahou and 1 student from Iolani out of over 60 students.
It seems that 1 out of every 12 students is accepted to Punahou and Iolani.

Indeed, more than 70% of the children go on to public kinder.

But it's the first school for your child, what is the number one consideration?
My son also took the Kinder entrance exams to Punahou, Iolani, Midpac, Montessori Community, and Le Jardin, all of which were disappointing and public. But I have no regrets about sending him to Central Union ！.

send him to Midpac.

As others have said, we were accepted to Central Union and
Mid-Pac, but
Montessori Community School and St. Clements were on our waitlist, but with disappointing results.

I compared Central Union and Midpac
I also went to visit the school and ask a lot of questions after accept.
I heard that Central Union was the most popular school for Kinder
Private, but many of them were Public
I decided to go with Midpac for the future.
