In terms of security, Santa Monica is rather safer. Santa Monica has many homeless people, though. In terms of economics, El Camino College is better in terms of rent and food. Also, 20 years ago when I was a student, El Camino was very, very loose.

There aren't many students in this community, so I think you'd get fresher information if you DM people who go to either college on Instagram or FB and ask them directly.

If you really want to improve your "English conversation" skills, come to San Fernando Valley where there are very few Japanese people.

I don't know if there is a kind of college called "Comic College" here, but

there are some non-UC State Colleges in this valley.

There is also a college near my house called California State University, Northridge.

If you are returning to Japan to care for your parents without setting a time limit and then returning to the U.S. again, I think it would be best to first obtain U.S. citizenship and then stay in Japan with a permanent residence permit, as recommended by Showa Ototsuan. Once you let your green card lapse, it may be difficult to get it again. （ I don't have any experience with this, so I don't know for sure. ）
I am a citizenship holder （ I became a citizen about 15 years ago ） but I returned to Japan about 10 years ago for the purpose of returning permanently. At that time, I first entered Japan with a short-term （ 3-year ） visa and applied for a permanent residence permit after entering the country, which was granted in about a year. I remember that I did all the procedures by myself and it was not so difficult. However, after 4 years, I decided that I could not live in Japan and came back to the US. （ I now live in Hawaii ）
From my experience, I believe that Japanese immigration control is kinder to "ex-Japanese" and not as strict as the US green card system. I think it is advantageous for U.S. citizens to travel between Japan and the U.S. in situations where the length of stay is not very predictable. However, it depends on when you return to Japan, and whether you will be able to obtain citizenship by then. In my case, I remember it was about a year after I applied. （ It was quite a while ago, so I am not too sure. ）

It would be best if there was a family bathroom where parents and children could go together, but if there wasn't, I would let my child go alone in the men's restroom and I would wait for him to come out in front of it. If it took too long, I would call out from outside or ask the man who came out of the bathroom about his child.

You can apply from Hawaii, but if you are entering the country as a tourist, you may be in trouble if your reason for entering the country is false.
I have heard that military personnel can get a VISA through the military earlier than usual, so I can't say for sure, but if you expect to wait more than 6 months between the time you apply and the time you get your VISA, you don't have to wait until January. ☺ By the way, I applied for a 10 year green card right after I got married because of the Corona disaster, but it took me 2 years to get it, so I got a 10 year green card from the beginning.

Kan, it depends on the immigration officer who does it. Sometimes they issue a conditional one because it's still less than 2 years old administratively on the date you apply, and sometimes they issue a 10 year one because
