アメリカ人と日本で結婚し、アメリカに一緒に住んでいましたが、2年前に別居して、日本で離婚届をだしました。 子供は1人います。アメリカではCITYHALLに結婚届も離婚届もだしていません。アメリカのステータスでは、私達はDIVORCEDになるのでしょうか?それともただのSEPALATIONになるのでしょうか?アメリカでの離婚は難しく、一緒に弁護士を雇って資料は用意できたものの、アメリカ人の相手がが離婚のペーパーを提出の順序がちがうと2回も却下されました。彼いわく、却下された理由も難しく意味がわからないらしいのです。まず、私達はアメリカで離婚届を出さないといけないのか、そしてもしそうなばあい離婚届の提出のアドバイスがありましたらください。よろしくお願いします。

まさか。離婚は世界のどっかで一回すりゃ十分。ステータスはもはや存在しねーはずだから、すぐにでも帰国の準備してね。

情報ありがとうございます。実は別れても子供がいるのでアメリカに在住する予定です。ただチャイルドサポートの件で、アメリカの離婚届出していないので正式な文章がなく、どうしていいかと考え中です。

日本でご結婚されて、アメリカには婚姻届は出されていないのですよね?で日本で離婚届提出済みということは。
特にこのほかには何もする必要はないと思うのですが。。。
下手にこちらで離婚手続きするとかえって面倒なことになるような気がします。
ちなみに主さんはグリーンカード保持者?
お子さんは２重国籍なんでしょうか?
