こちらに来て、１ヶ月くらい経ってやっと生活がおちついてきたので美術館めぐりをしたいなぁと思うのですが、お勧めのスポットなどはありますか??

教えてくれる人が気に入ってればトピ主さんは何でもオッケーですか?
ちなみに Getty (http://www.getty.edu/) は今月はレオナルドダビンチですよ。モナリサは無いですが、、、
ポップやモダン系なら美術館より今月はギャラリーの方おすすめします。http://www.knowngallery.com/
あとアートWALK ってイベントもいろんな地域でやっています。
ローカルアートを観るのにはバッチリです。
新しいアートWALKは、LA Downtown ので毎月の第２木曜の夜です。http://www.downtownartwalk.org/
オレンジカウンティー方面の方なら、Santa Ana でもやってますよ。
中間地点の方なら、Long Beach, San Pedro でも毎月あります。
特に興味がある訳でもなく雰囲気だけで行くなら、やはりメジャー系のゲッティー、モカ、ラクマ、ハマーなどでしょうね。
個人的にはLBAMが好きですが、多少の知識が無いと小さな所なので雰囲気だけではあまり理解出来ないと思います。

PasadenaにあるNorton Simon Museumは常設で印象派／ポスト印象派の作品が充実していてお勧めです。初めて行ったときはゴッホ、マネ、モネ、ルノワール、ゴーギャン、ドガ、セザンヌなどなど画集などでおなじみのキラ星のような絵がたくさんあることに驚かされました。美術館の雰囲気もきれいで明るくてお勧めです。
