異国の地アメリカで頑張ってる人のお話が聞きたいと思います。はじめてアメリカに降り立った時のこと，こんな苦労をしたとか今はこんなことをして頑張ってるとか、アー−こんな人もいるんだ−自分はまだまだだな、頑張らなきゃナ。なんて読む人みんなが またがんばれる、そんな体験談教えてください。

他州のとある学校に、それまで行っていた学校がどうしても体質にあわず、転校することにした時のこと。転校を決断したのが書類提出の期限ぎりぎりだったにもかかわらず、すべて書類を送ってほっとしていたのに、待てども暮らせどもAdmissionの知らせ（入れるのかダメなのかの返事）が来ませんでした。そうこうしているうちに、新学期が始まってしまい、やむなく、それまで行っていた学校のクラスに出ました｡でも、どうしてもあきらめきれず、転校したい学校の教授に直接交渉を思い立ち、70マイルでしたが、大雪警報もものともせずドライブして、ついにAdmissionをGet！！どうしてなかなかAdmissionが来なかったかという理由は、アメリカに生活するにおいては日常茶飯事におこる、ずさんな事務処理。（相手の学校ではなくて、TOEFLの事務所の仕業でした）よく、学校のAdmission Officeのせいでいろんなトラブルが起こっていることを耳にしますが、Officeがだめなら、教授なりなんなり、他の考えられるルートをかたっぱしから利用すれば、（アメリカは）意外となんとかなる・・っていうことを身を持って学びました。同じような状況で困っている人、思い付くことを何でもやってみましょう。道は開けます。あと、当時住んでいた所で全然仕事が見付からなかったので、何もあてもなかったにも関わらず、車に積めるだけ荷物を積んで、ものすごい距離を女一人でドライブしてカリフォルニアに来ました。苦労しましたけど、めでたく就職して、今は全部良い思い出プラス、これからもアメリカで生きていくための自分自身の指針ともなっています。みなさんも為せばなりますぞ〜
