YahooNewsでMP3が終了したとありました。
この後はどのように進むのか興味がありますが、
これに関連する情報あれば、教えてください。

MP3 とはコンピュータでの音声フォーマットのひとつですが、
その MP3 の何が終了したのですか。
MP3 自体は他の画像や動画のフォーマットと同じように
永久に存在し続けるはずですが。

MP3 で検索したところ、「終了」したのではなく
MP3 の特許が期限切れになると言うことだそうです。
ですから、私の解釈としては音声プレーヤなどの
ソフトを作る製作者は今度から MP3 の特許保持者に
特許料を払わなくて済むようです。
しかしコンピュータ等で音声プレーヤを使って MP3 フォーマットの
音楽を聴く我々にとっては今後も何も変わらないと言うことではないでしょうか。

MP3の質よくないからな・・・前はHDDの節約などで使われていたけど今だとただの音質が悪いファイルですね。

mp3の質はサンプルレートで良くも悪くもできます。別にｍｐ３に限らないけど。
質を良くしたらファイルが重たくなるだけ、軽くしたら質が悪くなるだけ。
利用者次第です。

誰も書いてないので、補足。
今後は、MP3よりも効率よく圧縮して音質の劣化も少ないAACフォーマットに変わっていくでしょう。
iTunes Store、Apple Music、Amazon Music、iHeartRadio、Youtubeなどで使われています。
移行には、かなり時間がかかるものと思われています。
