I know it's hard to know how to spend every school vacation.
We also have a 1st grader, and like the Lord, my husband is working so it's just the two of us. I've already decided that I'm not going to spend time with my child and I'm just going to be lazy everyday lol My child is usually busy with school, so I thought it would be nice to have a change of pace once in a while.
We often watch movies together or draw pictures. After that, we have picnics at the park, hang out at the mall, etc.
Lately she seems to be interested in baking sweets, so I'm thinking of making a cake or something for this spring vacation.

I'm in Japan. Tsukiji is full of foreigners. When I went into a sushi restaurant, most of the customers were gaijin. When I told the guy behind the counter that 90% of the customers were foreigners, he replied that Japanese people don't come here. If you are a tourist, you are welcome to come. But many of the convenience store clerks and hotel room cleaners are also gaijin. I thought it was the same as in the U.S. that gaijin are doing the jobs that Japanese people don't want to do. But I think it is admirable that they can speak Japanese well.

Sim Card ＆ E I don't know much about Simi cards, but in our case, we have three iPhones （ that we usually use in the US. I use LINE installed on my iPhones ） when I go back to Japan by connecting to free public Wifi or Wifi at the hotel or other places where I stay. Also, when my kids went to Japan last year with some friends, they rented a pocket Wifi at the airport （ for about 300 yen per day ？ ） and used it when they needed to connect to it during their stay. Unfortunately, I can't give you advice on that since it was a long time ago when I tried to swap Sim cards like Phone did, but I hope others can give you some good advice.
