Vivinavi Los Angeles交通違反の裁判に出席しそこねた場合

とても困っているので詳しい方、経験がある方教えてください！
私は約１年前にJ-Walkingで捕まり２００ドル近くの罰金が課せられました。
その内容と金額に納得がいかず裁判所のアポイントを取りました。
しかし、家族に不幸がおこりちょうど裁判の日に日本へ緊急帰国しました。
かなり動揺しており、他のことを考える余裕はありませんでした。
１週間して帰って、やっと裁判のことを思い出し、コートへ行くと罰金が合計約１０００ドルになっていました･･･。
そして、再度裁判所へ行って無罪を主張し、来月裁判です。
日本へ帰ってたことの証明など持っていく予定ですが、
それでも罰金が減るということは難しいでしょうか?
通訳の方から入院していたか軍隊・刑務所にいた以外は認められないと言われました。
こちらでは学生の身で１０００ドルは本当に厳しいです。
アドバイスをどうぞよろしくお願いします！

緊急帰国から一週間でアメリカに戻って以来、一年間も放置したんです
からね。いまさら一年も前の緊急帰国を持ち出しても、言い訳にすらなりませんよ。

とぴ主様、、、無罪を主張は難しいと思いますが、、実際してしまったことなので、、、ですが、罰金の上りがあまりにも高くて、なんとか最初の罰金額に戻してほしいという主張なら、、、
実は私の夫は本当に完璧に支払いを忘れていました。
ちなみに1年近くもです。忘れていたチケットは一つだけではありませんでした。。。再裁判のアポをとり、裁判し、結果ディスミスで支払わなくてよくなったものもありましたし、金額を最初の違反金額にしてもらった分もありました。
ちなみに私の友人も1年ほったらかして、再裁判で最初の罰金額に戻してもらいました。
上記はネットですでにエクステンドすらもうできなくて、直接窓口に行って再裁判の日をもらってきました。
ですのでトピ主さんも再裁判で無罪を主張するというより、理由をいい、減額を主張してみた方がよいのでは思います。

チケットを切られたのは１年前で、ミスしたのは１度目の出廷です。もう年ですかね。
