サンディエゴからLAに戻る途中でパスポート、ビザのチェックがあるというのは本当でしょうか？

一応車はみんなそこで停まるというか減速するというか、で、警備員みたいな人がたってて、いつもなにもいわずに、行けと手でうながされるだけで、何も聞かれたこともないよ。

現在サンディエゴに住んでてよくＬＡ・オレンジカウンテイ行きますが検問で止められて調べられてるのはほとんどが汚い古い車に乗ったメキシコ系の人達です。たまーに白人でもやはり汚い車に乗ってて汚いなりをした人が調べられてるのを見ます。
普通の人達と同じようにしれてばとめれれて調べられろことはまずないと思います。止められて外国人だと分かれば当然パスポートを見せろと言ってくるかもしれませんね。（そうしたら自分はイーストＬＡで生まれ育った日系人と言えばＯＫかな？）

SanDiegoとLAの間で検問やってるのはメキシコ人をチェックするためだよ。
だからアジア人はめったに止められない。
私は2回止められたけど、一回はパスポートを取り出そうとカバンに手を伸ばしただけでOKだった。
2回目は９１１の直後だったけど、どこへ行くか聞かれただけ。
このことをアメリカ人のルームメイトは私がメキシコ人に見えたんじゃないかって爆笑されたけど。

何回かメキシコまで車で行っているけど、車を全部チェックしていたら大渋滞でしょう。。。
ただでさえたまに止めているだけでも結構あのあたりに来ると急に減速状態が続くし。
