I asked for the vaccine certificate to be written in English just in case I need to show it at restaurants when I eat out after entering Hawaii, rather than when I enter the country.
But I don't think it necessarily has to be in English.
However, you can get a certificate in English from the municipal office for about ¥ 700, so if you are worried, you might want to consider that ？.

I recently returned to Hawaii from Japan.

The negative proof of the result from the Kinoshita Group's quick test at Haneda Airport appears 30 minutes later on the My Page that I registered when I made the reservation. I asked for a printed copy at the reception desk, but they said they could not print it.
Therefore, I printed the negative test result from my phone via Wi-Fi （ at a printer in Lawson located diagonally in front of the inspection station ） and filled in my passport number and date of birth in my own handwriting.
When you enter your name in the online reservation form, there are three input fields: Kanji, Furigana, and English.

Since we were boarding on the same day, we went to Terminal 2 for inspection 4 hours before departure time, printed the form at Lawson, and then took a bus to Terminal 3 in the departure lobby.
I presented this negative proof at check-in and was able to board without any problems.
I was able to smoothly enter the Honolulu airport in about 40 minutes without being asked to show any negative proof or vaccine proof. The only cost was 1900 yen including tax for the inspection fee and 50 yen for printing at Lawson.

Dear Haneda Airport,

I flew ANA 3 days ago, and like Kinoshita Group, I departed from Haneda and returned to Hawaii.
Regarding your question about the bus transfer, you need to go through the inspection and get a certificate before check-in, so take all your luggage and go to Kinoshita Group in Terminal 1 first (I don't think they accept quick inspection in Terminal 2 now) and print out the negative certificate at a convenience store. You can print out a negative certificate at a convenience store.
You will need to take all of your luggage with you to the international terminal 3 and take the free inter-terminal bus.
Also, when I went through the inspection at Kinoshita Group, the Cabinet Secretariat was conducting a monitoring questionnaire, and I was able to get a discount of 300 yen for those who responded, so I was able to get a quick inspection for 1,600 yen.
The information about the questionnaire and the QR code were posted at the inspection site.
After arriving at Honolulu Airport, we were no longer required to present any Corona-related documents, etc. We were directed to the group exit instead of the individual exit, as we had been before.

You always have to go through inspection before check-in, so you have to carry your suitcase between terminals.

I found instructions on the printer at the entrance of Lawson, so it shouldn't be difficult.
You need to download an app, use the free WiFi at the airport and download an app called PrintSmash.
I was on an iPhone and the app could only be downloaded at the Apple Store in Japan, not in the U.S., so I did a country switch from the U.S. to the Apple Store in Japan on the spot and downloaded it.
I think it would have taken less time if I had downloaded it in advance, but I did it on the spot and was able to print easily without taking that long.

I was also told at the reception that this test is for domestic use and not originally intended for overseas travel.
This is because the standards for certificates vary from country to country, and conditions can change daily depending on the corona situation, so they are taking the stance that they do not support each country.
If you receive a claim that you were not allowed to board the plane with this certificate after the inspection without confirmation from the airline, or if you were not allowed to board because the contents of the certificate no longer meet the requirements due to sudden changes in conditions caused by the corona situation, you need to confirm this by yourself beforehand and the inspection agency will not take responsibility. This seems to be for the sake of self-preservation.
However, they also said that not only people going to Hawaii but also people going to the mainland Amelka are using this service and have no problem boarding the plane.

So, just to be sure, I checked with the airline in advance and received confirmation that boarding was possible through the Kinoshita Group inspection.
They told me that everyone who travels to the U.S., including Hawaii, enters the country through the Kinoshita Group inspection without any problems, just as the inspector had told me.

Also, I was told that if the airline allows it, the language does not have to be English.
The CDC guidance also explains as follows.
"If your documentation is in a language other than English, you should check with the airline or aircraft operator prior to travel."

The receptionist I spoke to at Kinoshita Group was very kind, but if you tell them you want an inspection to go abroad, there is a possibility you may be refused depending on the person you speak to, so I would recommend checking with the airline rather than with Kinoshita Group.
