I think all of Irvine is basically safe and good for raising children ！
The area around Great park is a fun place to live with a new town and houses and lots of sports facilities and trails.

If your child attends ELD-only classes （ at College park, Culverdale, or University park, check ） you will make friends easily.
ELD is, as the name implies, a "learn English" class, so all the children are from families who have just arrived in the US.
There is a good chance there will be Japanese there, and even if they are not Japanese, they all have the same immigrant ？ expatriate ？ struggles.

I don't know where many Japanese live in Irvine.
I think there are many Asian people in the newer apartment complexes ？ and near Asian supermarkets ？ but you can't tell if they are Japanese or not by looking at them.
Also, maybe there are Japanese families living near the 3 ELD schools above, because they want to avoid pick-up and transfer as much as possible.

Irvine is a great place to live because of the small percentage of old people.
The city is also perfectly calculated and maintained, making it easy to get around.

It seems that everywhere you go, there are Japanese in every class. There are a lot of expatriates. I just get lumped in with the "wives of Irvine" crowd. The Great Park area was filled with all kinds of chemicals when it was a base.　The area is supposed to have been cleaned up before it was turned into a residential area, but I don't think they were able to completely and quickly remove all of them.
So, I would recommend this area to old people who have a short life expectancy, but if I had children, I would never live here.　It doesn't matter how many or how few Japanese people you have.
The area around the District in Tustin used to be a base, but I heard that there is a clause in the contract that says you can't eat anything planted in the ground and you can't sue the seller if you eat it and it damages your health.
