Japanese Grandma's Cafe is a Japanese restaurant located in the historic town of Hanapepe, a small town in Hawaii ・ Kauai.

Kauai has a long history of Japanese immigration, and there are still many islanders of Japanese descent. On the other hand, there are very few Japanese restaurants in Kauai, and the owner was concerned about this situation. This was 8 years ago.

Kauai may not be familiar to Japanese people, but as it is also known as the Garden Island, it is a "popular island" among those in the know, where nature abounds and a simple, old-fashioned atmosphere remains.

We use many local ingredients, especially tuna, which we sometimes buy by the piece from local fishermen, providing fresh sushi and poke.
Our special fried fish is also very popular, soft and well seasoned, with a delicious taste that is hard to find anywhere else.

Live music is played on the patio, creating a lively dining experience.

We are looking for an experienced sushi chef to join our expanding business. Thanks to your support, we are very prosperous, but there is still room for growth to improve service and increase sales.

Japanese food is very popular here and we have been very busy.
We are planning to expand our business and restaurant space, and would love to have an experienced sushi chef to help us further enhance the restaurant.
