I guess they are trying to make up for the loss of revenue caused by the Corona disaster, but the fact that the number of shoppers has not decreased even at these prices suggests that sales are much higher than before the Corona disaster and revenue is increasing.
Even for locally manufactured and sold products, which should not be so expensive in terms of transportation costs and raw materials, the local Japanese and Japanese-Americans end up buying them no matter how expensive they are, so I feel that they are setting absurd prices in a state of so-called "hiked prices". ？
Of course, they are relatively modest in raising prices for necessities and prominent products because they would be exposed if they raise prices all at once, but even so, they raise prices many times in a short period of time.

My child is still very young so it will be a while before he/she attends, but I am looking into it. I think the most famous Japanese language school is Rainbow Gakuen, but what is the difference between Rainbow and Sakura Japanese Language Preschool that I found while researching ？ I know that Sakura is from 2 years and 10 months to about 5 years old ？ and Rainbow has a kindergarten (from what age, I'm not sure) to middle school.
Either way, these are the only ones that I know of. In any case, these are Japanese language supplementary schools, not like pre-schools where you leave your child ？ I wonder if most people who send their children to these schools send them to both pre-schools and Japanese language schools ？ My old boss's child used to say Rainbow only on Saturday I think I read somewhere that if a child cannot speak Japanese to some extent, he/she cannot even enroll in Rainbow. Since I was able to renew without biometrics, I thought I would be able to use the photo from my previous card, but was surprised to see a photo of myself that I don't remember taking at all.
