このたび日本から3歳の子供をつれてトーランスに引っ越してきました。幼稚園を探しいて思ったのですが、日本の幼稚園は月曜日から金曜日の5日間が当たり前なのにこちらには週2日、3日という選択もあることにびっくりしました。5日でないといけないと思ってたんですが、2，3日でもいいんでしょうか？もちろん5日を選べば良いと思うのですが、月謝が高いので、2日でも大丈夫なら2日にしようかと悩んでます。
こちらで2，3日だけ行かしてるお母さんがいましたら是非、ご意見を聞かせてください。よろしくお願いします。

プリスクールのことですね。
スクールにも寄りますが、週５日、週３日(月水金）、週２日(火木）と選択肢があります。
それぞれのご家庭の事情があると思いますので、週に何回でも構わないと思いますが、うちの息子はパワーが有り余っていたので、週５日フルに行っていました。

本当にアメリカの幼稚園は保育時間が短くても良いお値段しますよね。
日本人駐在員は、会社から補助が有るので比較的長い時間もしくは、週５日とかお子さんを預けていらしゃいます。
アメリカ人の家庭でも共働きだとFull dayといって、６時位まで預けれる幼稚園に入れたり、家計に余裕が有れば週５日、預けていらしゃるアメリカ人家庭もいます。
月謝が高いので、週２、3日とか義務教育のキンダーまで幼稚園に行った事が無いお子さんも日本と違って結構いらしゃいます。

プレスクールは必ずしも行かせる必要がないので、週２日でも半日だけでも、全く行かせなくてもOKですよ。実際に、キンダーに入るまではどこにもいかせてない家庭も知ってます。金銭的な事情というより、子供と一緒の時間をすごしたいからというのが大きな理由のようです。
キンダーにはいると週５日になります。こちらは、義務です。
