皆さま、
経済状況は人それぞれとはよく存じておりますが、皆さまは401kにどれくらい入れておられますか？
老後が気になる年齢になって参りましたが、インターネットのサイトで自分の情報を入力すると、これではとても足りないと煽られ、さらに不安になってしまいまして、、
当方、40代半ば、年収$75,000、毎年昇給2〜3%、現在10%401k入れてます。会社は3%のマッチングを入れてくれています。
恥ずかしながら401kの残高は未だ$20,000
以下です、、ここ近年前まではちゃんと仕事をしてこなかったもので、、
いろいろ皆さまのご意見や現況をお聞きして参考にさせていただければ幸いです！

自分はまめに401k入れてないので、詳しいことわかりませんが。

もし独身で$75kの収入なら401ｋに出来るだけ最高額の積み立てするのをお勧めします。会社のマッチも増えるし節税にもなります。 10%入れて3%のマッチ、それで残高2万って少なくないですか？ いくら積み立てても投資内容によってはたいして増えないので、何に投資するかを再検討しないといけません。まだリタイアまで１５年以上あるので多少リスクの高いファンドも良いかと思います。例えば私が２０年前に会社を辞めるまでに積み立てた金額はハイテック系のファンド５０％、ボンドファンド５０％で積み立てました。ハイテック系は７倍になってますが、ボンド系は2.5倍程度にしか増えていません。

今から毎月2,000ドル平均7%のリターンで20年貯めていけば､20年後には1億ドル以上にになりますよ。独身で給与の他に収入がなければ､18,500 ドルを401kに入れ､個人でTraditional IRAの口座を作り、残りはそれに入れた置けば全額節税できます。
