Fortunately I have not had that experience, but three people I know have.
One was attacked as he was getting out of his car in a parking lot, but he escaped by giving the attacker money as he demanded. Another was shot from another car while driving. I have a child in second grade at Iolani and first grade at Punahou.
Honestly, Iolani grows up with no real ability for the child to solve their own problems. Counselors, counselors, counselors, every day the kids talk about it.
