Vivinavi Los Angelesパサデナにお住まいの方、教えてください。

夫の仕事で子供(1歳)と一緒に渡米予定の者です。
勤務先がダウンタウンの東側辺りで、現在、居住区の候補としてパサデナとWestwoodが挙がっています。
通勤を優先させるとパサデナが便利なのですが、英語の苦手な私の生活と子供の病院のことなどを考えるとWestwoodの方がいい、という感じです。
ただ、Westwoodから通勤するのは夫の負担が大きいかと思い悩んでいます。
夫もパサデナに下見に行って雰囲気がとても気に入っているようです。
しかし、パサデナ在住の方のブログなどを拝見すると、皆さん海外生活に慣れた方ばかりで、初心者の私が生活していけるのか不安です。
パサデナにお住まいの方がいらっしゃいましたら、住み心地や普段の買い物、病院(日本語が通じる小児科医がいるのかどうかなど)、日本人のコミュニティーの有無など教えていただけないでしょか?

ご主人の職場がダウンタウンならＷｅｓｔｗｏｏｄかＷＬＡに一票。ダウンタウンの東側だとちょっと通勤がきついかな。ＷＬＡはフリーウエイに乗らずに日系スーパー、レストラン、書店、日本語幼稚園、デイケア、日本語をしゃべるドクターなどそろっていますよ。ビーチにも近くて夏場もすずしいです。ダウンタウンまでフリーウエイに乗らずに行くことも可能ですので、万が一事故で渋滞でも抜け道がたくさんあります。家賃もパサディナに比べたら安目ではないでしょうか?若干ではありますが。

パサデナとＷｅｓｔｗｏｏｄはたしかに公共交通機関がトーランスよりは発達していて車なしの生活が可能です。
でも実際には１歳のお子さんを連れてバスに乗ることはかなり大変で、実際にしばらくやっていた私としてはそう簡単にすすめられない気持ちです。
ストローラーに大きなバッグに１歳の赤ちゃんを抱えるわかですから。
ご主人よりも１歳のお子さんをひとりで抱えることになるトピ主さんの都合を優先して選ぶことが大切かと思います。
