H-1ビザで働かれてる方多いと思うんですが、大抵は日本からの派遣でこられてる方だと思います。
こちらでビザサポートを受けて、H-1に切り替わるにあたって、ビザを取得してからも日本には帰れないと聞いたのですが本当でしょうか？
ビザは３年、それからまた更新。これでは、グリーンカードを申請して５年ほど帰れないのと同じかそれより長い気がします。
同じように現地採用、現地ビザ取得の方、もしくはそういったことについて知っている方アドバイスをください。

こちらの大学卒業後OPT中に現在の会社に就職、ビザサポートしてもらいH1-Bの申請をしました。
期間はおっしゃるとおり３年。その後更新すればあと３年です。帰れないということはないです。ただ、こちらでF1(学生）から切り替えるとパスポートにViSAスタンプがもらえないため、一度帰国すると日本の米大使館にパスポートと一緒にもう一度申請書類一式を提出し面接を受けねばなりません。
その期間が大使館の混雑具合などによって読めないため人によっては１ヶ月以上かかるのでちょっと休暇で帰国するというのがむずかしいので、帰れないというウワサになるのではないでしょうか？
