御用学者や専門家など、それなりの立場で “心配ない” 発言を繰り返し言い続けていた人々は刑事罰にとわれるべきだとの意見がありますが、同感です。
地震予知委員会も同罪でしょう。今まで一度も当たった事のない（かすりもしない）団体に毎年100億円近い金をつぎ込んでいるのは、詐欺行為といわれても仕方ないでしょう。
今回の東日本大震災でも、いつものように事が起きてから色々と解説してくれますが、そんなのいりません。東海沖地震も来る来る言い続け何十年。今後もし発生したときには当たったと言うのでしょうかね。
イタリアでは地震予知できず実際に訴えられましたが、弁護士曰く、地震が予知できないのは皆が知っていると、自ら存在意味の無さを認めています。落語の落ち見たいな話しですが。

いい加減な発言に対して道義的な問題があるのは理解できますが、地震予知が現時点で不可能だからといって詐欺というのは
科学というものに対してあまりに無知というものでしょう。
事前に可能と分かっているものしか資金を投入してはいけないとなるとおかしいでしょう。
フロンティア精神とかパイオニア精神と真逆の発想ですね。
こういう人って起業にしても初めから成功するという「確証」がないと詐欺扱いしちゃうんでしょうかね。

まあ常識的に言って、地震予知というのはどだい無理な話でしょうから詐欺にはならないでしょうが、地震予知関連も原発に負けず劣らず利権が絡んでいるようで、その辺は大いに問題でしょうが。
この際呼び名を例えば、地震後対策委員会とかに変えてたらどうでしょう。予知委員会なんていうから詐欺っぽくなるのですから。
