Minivan,

I haven't heard any response from anyone.

Although not a minivan, long ago in the 1980s, when my late son, now middle-aged, was in elementary school, we bought a Chevy Van, not a camper van, but a manufacturer standard "sports van" or whatever they called it, with all-glass windows all the way around. It was the one with all windows in the following shape.

We drove around Yosemite and as far as the Four Corners in it. These vans were very large and full width with removable back seats and carpeted floors. This meant that the whole family could sleep comfortably. We also used this van for commercial purposes, but as the years went by it became too old, so in 2002 we replaced it with a Dodge Van of the same size, but without the extra windows, for complete transportation purposes. I have kept this van since I retired, but it has less than 30,000 miles on it, so the exterior is falling apart, but it still runs great with 30,000 miles on it.


So I can't give you any information on minivans, but I hear the following about current models.

I've been looking around youtubu a lot, and I'm glad to see that you've included Nissan's NV200.

I was thinking about the Ford Transit minivan in the US ？ when I happened to see a Nissan NV200
a few days ago ！ ！ but I was disappointed to see it was discontinued ！ ！. ！ So it's not on the Nissan website.

So it occurred to me that I could use that idea to get from Los Angeles to New York and back with my daughter and grandchildren.
I heard that the domestic flights in the Corona were full and I couldn't say "come" or "go"
so I decided to use a car, and if I had a camper, I could even sleep in it.

I wonder if I can sleep in a camper, but can I do it anywhere ？ and
I know in Japan a camper has to be registered as such, but in America ？ and
I wonder if I can just buy a van and renovate the inside without permission ？ and

I still need to learn more before my mini camper life.

If it's just a place to sleep, it's not a camper. It's noisy and cold, and you have to spend a lot of money to use it as a camper.

Camper [camper] means,

1 A person who camps.

2 An automobile with a A camper [camper].

So "camping facilities" vary widely, from a tent for one person to a luxury camper with all the facilities of a business hotel in one room.

The car with the URL given by minivan in #1 is a fine camper, and if a small hatchback car has space to sleep lying down with the backrest of the back seat down, and if the person using it that way considers it a camper, it is also a fine camper. I too was transferred here in 1971 and the first car I bought was a Chevy VEGA. It was the first time Japanese cars were being sold in Japan, and neither Nissan nor Toyota had their own dealerships in town yet, so I had to ask American car dealers to sell me their cars. I took a vacation in this Hutch Back Chevy VEGA and took a route around Northern California, through Yosemite and back here. We took the 101 north up the coastline and spent the first night in Moro Bay in the parking lot of a park by the ocean. Of course we stayed overnight in the car, but those were the days when it was not noisy to spend the night on public streets or in parking lots.

I go camping in my work pickup truck with a tent, firewood for the campfire, sleeping bags, etc. ！ Even if there are no bathrooms or kitchen facilities, there are toilets at the campgrounds, so it's no problem ！. ？ When I was a student half a century ago, I went camping in Yosemite during summer vacation as an annual event and encountered a bear in a garbage can, which is a fun memory now. ！ I plan to go when it warms up a bit ！ ！

You are right, I may be of a similar generation to 119. I landed in JFK, NY on June 21, 1970. I was originally "shipped off" to the U.S. to open the LA office, but I couldn't speak English or do business in LA, so I stayed in NY for 6 months as a training period. After that, I came to LAX from JFK around January 20, 1971, and suddenly came to San Fernando Valley where the sales rep office was located.

Oh, no, I've started writing in detail again. Anyway, I have been a resident of the Valley for the past 50 years. As for the subject of minivans, since then I have traveled all over the country with my campers in whatever means and manner I prefer or think fit my needs. In the service section, all I had to do was to repair broken products all day long without talking.

At that time, color TVs were becoming popular and Toshiba ・Matsushita ・Sanyo ・Mitsubishi and other companies started mass production of color TVs, and sales of measuring instruments necessary for production were booming. When measuring instruments used in color TV production and maintenance broke down, they were sent to our section to be repaired, but we had to connect them back to the color TV to determine if the repair was completed. Therefore, we had to leave the color TV on, and of course the images would be in our eyes. So I have to watch the major news while I am at work.

Nissan stopped selling the NV200 commercial panel van here, so there are no more Japanese commercial vans at all. Only Ford and Dodge remain. Also, for some reason, many of the delivery vehicles used by Amazon and other companies are made by Mercedes Benz.
