Our school is located in Paramus, NJ （ ） We offer classes on Saturday.

We offer classes for Japanese and Japanese American children living in the New York and New Jersey area, focusing on Japanese language, math ・ and mathematics in accordance with the Japanese curriculum guidelines. Paramus Catholic High School, which is on loan on Saturdays, is located in a lush natural setting surrounded by greenery, animals such as squirrels, rabbits, and wild birds, as well as maple and oak trees.

In this favorable educational environment, the faculty and staff welcome the children on Saturdays with smiles. The day's learning begins with a cheerful "Ohayo gozaimasu" greeting from both children and teachers. Children who attend the local school on weekdays and study in English are learning Japanese, math ・ and other subjects such as social studies and life science in Japanese with their friends whom they have not seen for a week.

In terms of events, in order to give the children the same experience as in Japan, we hold the entrance ceremony, graduation ceremony, big field day, cultural festival, evacuation drill, hair brush experience, Tanabata Festival, study presentation, etc.

The Sports Festival, in particular, is a major event where children, parents, and teachers work together to create and enjoy themselves. In the middle and high school, we offer field trips （ to Bear Mountain ） to strengthen bonds with peers and create memories through mountain climbing. Through these classes and events, children develop into globally minded individuals with a balance of intellectual ・ moral ・ and physical qualities.

Our School

Our school offers a wide range of education from the middle grades in the infant school to the second grade in the high school.

We also have an international class where students can learn Japanese language and culture as one class from elementary to high school without age limitation. With the basic premise of "Japanese education on Saturdays," we are committed to educating students to improve their academic skills in Japanese （ Japanese ） and math ・. Therefore, the use of English is prohibited in the school, except for children in international classes.

In consideration of the developmental stage of the children in the early childhood and first grade, one assistant is assigned to each class, and educational activities are carried out by a homeroom teacher and two assistants.

In order to improve students' Japanese language skills, the middle and high schools have been conducting weekly kanji confirmation tests since last year. Thus, since the school concentrates on Japanese language study on Saturdays, we assign a lot of homework. We ask that families support their children's learning as a second class by checking homework assignments and helping them master kanji.
