Gasparilla Pirate Invasion and Parade

Yo ho, mateys! The 2022 Seminole Hard Rock Gasparilla Pirate Fest (https://main.gasparillapiratefest.com/) is this Saturday, January 29, 2022. The pirates of Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla Flotilla will invade at the Tampa Convention Center from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. The Parade of Pirates will begin on Bayshore Blvd at 2:00 pm. The parade begins at Bay to Bay Boulevard and Bayshore Boulevard. It continues along Bayshore Boulevard to Brorein Street, turns east on Brorein Street, then north on Ashley Drive. The parade ends at Cass Street & Ashley Drive.

Black Love Classic Film Series

Black Love (https://tampatheatre.org/movie-categories/black-love/) , presented by TECO, celebrates some of the greatest cinematic love stories of all time, as told by Black filmmakers and diverse casts. The series was produced in collaboration with the City of Tampa’s Community Engagement & Partnerships Department, and each film will be presented in partnership with community leaders and organizations with deep roots in Tampa’s Black community. ‘Black Love’ celebrates where Black History Month and Valentine’s Day connect.
