You need to have four shots in total to prevent Japanese encephalitis:

The first three vaccination injections (the first-stage) are given between the ages of six months and seven and a half years.
The last shot (the second-stage) is given between the ages of 9 and 13 years.

In Ogaki City, children in the fourth year of primary school will be sent information about the second stage of vaccination.
Target group:
・Fourth-graders born between 2 April 2015 and 1 April 2016
・People who have not yet received a second-stage prophylaxis vaccination.)
Notes:
・This vaccination must be completed by the day before the child's 13th birthday.
・Around the beginning of June, we will send you detailed information and a preliminary check-up sheet by post. If you have any questions, please contact the Ogaki City Health Center (0584-75-2322).

日本脳炎(にほんのうえん)の　予防(よぼう)注射(ちゅうしゃ)は　ぜんぶで　4回（かい）受（う）ける　必要（ひつよう）が　あります：

・最初(さいしょ)の　3回（かい）（1期(き)）は、生後(せいご)6ヶ月(かげつ)から　7歳半(さいはん)までの間(あいだ)に　受（う）けます
・最後(さいご)の　1回（かい）（2期(き)）は、9歳(さい)から13歳(さい)までの間(あいだ)に　受（う）けます
