The City of Mountain View's 2024 Fall Activity Guide is now available online - covering activities taking place September through December, including holiday activities, school break camps, sports and fitness classes, special events and more.

Registration begins Monday, Aug. 5 at 8:30 a.m. for Mountain View residents and Monday, Aug. 12 at 8:30 a.m. for non-residents. National Night Out

National Night Out returns on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 5 - 8 p.m. Join us, the Mountain View Police Department, Fire Department and Recreation Division, for an evening of cold treats, chalk art and a DJ for all ages to enjoy. Together, we are making communities safer, more caring places to live and work.

New in 2024 - we'll be on Civic Center Plaza (500 Castro Street) and Mercy Street for vehicle displays, city booths and more space to engage.






Biodiversity and Urban Forest Plan

Please join us on Saturday, Aug. 10th at Pioneer Park for a unique community event for the Biodiversity and Urban Forest Plan. This opportunity is geared towards youth and families and will feature live music by local artist *Andy Z!*

Bring a blanket or chair and engage with us through fun activities, songs and conversation. We want to hear ideas for a biodiverse Mountain View - even from our youngest residents!

The City will be hosting a Fall Volunteer Fair on *Saturday, Aug. 24* at the Mountain View Community Center from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Those interested in volunteering will have the opportunity to meet with local non-profit organizations to learn about volunteer opportunities and their services. This event is open to all. Stop by, get involved, and make a difference!

Dance into the summer season with Concerts on the Plaza! Join your family, friends and neighbors down at the Civic Center Plaza, located at 500 Castro St., for a variety of musical performances.

Bring a lawn chair, blanket or your dancing shoes. Food, beer, wine and other beverages will be available for purchase at the Bean Scene Cafe. Concerts take place every Friday through  September, from 6 - 7:30 p.m.

This NEW program is designed for enthusiastic teens who want to make a positive impact on their peers and The View Teen Center, all while acquiring valuable skills, enjoyment, and service hours. Ambassadors will be the face of The View, helping to create a welcoming and exciting environment for all members.

*What will Teen Ambassadors Do?*


* Assist with events and programs
* Promote The View
* Offer feedback and suggestions
* Be a positive role model

*Program Requirements:*


* Teens in grades 6th – 12th who are regular members of The View;
* Attend monthly meetings on the 2nd Thursday of each month;
* Positive and enthusiastic; and
* Committed to fulfilling program requirements.
