King County Medic One (KCM1) is establishing a hiring list for multiple Paramedic positions. This recruitment is specific only to current Washington State certified paramedics that have graduated from the University of Washington Micheal K. Copass Paramedic Training Program (UWMKCPTP). Paramedics are required to work 102 24-hour shifts per year with a starting hourly wage and furlough accrual rate based on their UWMKCPTP graduation date. The maximum wage placement will be $57.8828. KCM1 is a county-operated public EMS service that is the sole provider of pre-hospital 911 Advanced Life Support in south King County, Washington, responding only to ALS-level 911 calls with nine medic units in an area of approximately 500 square miles with a population of approximately 900,000 people. 

King County Medic One is a public service organization, a critical link in our regional Emergency Medical Service system, providing high quality advanced patient care. Our Paramedics are trained through the world-renowned University of Washington Paramedic Training Program.  This lateral paramedic position is open *only to graduates of the University of Washington Paramedic Training Program. *
