Join us and the Mayor’s Veterans Advisory Council for the 25th Annual Veterans Day Parade (https://www.orlando.gov/Events/2024-Veterans-Day-Parade?utm_source=City+News&utm_campaign=5d071f11cf-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_01_07_03_07_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_c482f52094-5d071f11cf-80648119&mc_cid=5d071f11cf&mc_eid=UNIQID) in downtown Orlando on Saturday.
As our way of saying thank you to those who served and sacrificed for our country, we celebrate this year with the theme, “A Legacy of Loyalty and Service.” Find a good spot anywhere on the route, or you can watch it live on clickorlando.com, and wave to our Grand Marshals, various veterans' groups, high school recruits, non-profits and more.
Parade begins at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Robinson Street. The route continues south on Orange to Central Boulevard, then east on Central to Rosalind Avenue, and then north on Rosalind to Robinson Street.
See you there!

** Storm debris pickup continues
------------------------------------------------------------
City claw trucks and contractors are completing the first pass through many neighborhoods. This means that all large debris piles that were at the curb when crews passed and were not obstructed by vehicles or located near mailboxes, trees, poles, fire hydrants, storm drains or overhead utilities, have been collected. Please note, the "first pass" is specifically for large piles of clean vegetative debris. Crews will be making multiple passes throughout the city until it’s all cleaned up.
In some instances, crews may not be able to remove all debris at the curb on the same day. They will be back. Reporting storm debris (https://www.orlando.gov/Trash-Recycling/Report-Storm-Debris?utm_source=City+News&utm_campaign=5d071f11cf-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_01_07_03_07_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_c482f52094-5d071f11cf-80648119&mc_cid=5d071f11cf&mc_eid=UNIQID) placed at the curb will help us clean up more efficiently and ensure we don't miss your property during citywide cleanup.

** Self-care is more than pampering
------------------------------------------------------------
We’ve officially entered the festive season, which is full of joy and excitement, yet incredibly busy. With all the food, parties, shopping and celebrations galore, remember to pencil in some relaxing YOU time.
Face Place Boutique, owned by Kevian Dirin and located in The Milk District is a great new option to schedule an hour or two of self-care is. Kevian moved to Orlando in 1994 and spent 24 years working at Winnie Palmer as a registered nurse, and another seven as a nurse practitioner in family medicine. Yet she dreamed of opening up her own spa or clinic where she could elevate her customers’ standard of care and provide more tailored treatments.
A few short months ago, Kevian came across the opportunity to open her own spa and become the small business owner she had dreamt of being. With 30 years of knowledge in patient care under her belt, and a love of helping customers feel their best, she hired a diverse and highly qualified staff of providers and built a list of services centered around advanced skincare, including lymphatic drainage, facial toning and lifting, lash and brow treatments, dermal fillers, waxing and more.
To visit Kevian and her team head to 2515 East South Street or go to faceplaceboutique.com for more information.
