DOW update: Water service shutdown on Olohena Road cancelled

KAPA'A - The Department of Water (DOW) has cancelled the water service shutdown previously scheduled for August 22 on Olohena Road.  The waterline tie-in work will be rescheduled, and an announcement will be made once a new date is confirmed.

Water service shutdown scheduled on portion of Olohena Road on Aug. 22

KAPA’A – The Department of Water and Earthworks Pacific, Inc. has scheduled a water service shutdown on a portion of Olohena Road, near the vicinity of Olohena Road and Waipouli Road, on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., weather permitting to tie-in a waterline to the existing system.

Customers located in the service area are advised to prepare for the water service shutdown by taking the following steps:


* Store water to meet your needs until water service can be safely restored.
* Notify neighbors, family and friends of the water service shutdown.
* Those with faulty water heaters should ensure that water heaters do not empty during the shutdown.
