Main Events

Japan Festival

The Japan Festival was started in 1981 by the Japanese American Society of Chicago and taken over by the Japanese Association of Chicago in 1998. The Japan Festival has been held in the northwest suburbs of Chicago every June, with the exception of 2011 when the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred.　The scale of the festival has grown each year, and it has become one of the most enjoyable annual events for people in the local community to experience Japanese culture.

Members' social gatherings

New Year's party, picnic, golf tournament, rabbinia ・ Classical music appreciation, year-end party Various hobby meetings, seminars of Business Division and Life & Culture Division are also held. Various seminars are also held by the Business Sub-committee and the Life and Culture Sub-committee.

Activities

Business Section

The Business Section provides business networking opportunities for members and non-members alike （ The Business Roundtable ） and also holds seminars （ on personal wealth management ） such as the "Overseas Financial Assets Seminar" and the "Legacy ・ Will Seminar".

We will continue to meet a wide range of your business needs. If you have any requests ・ such as "We would like to hold a seminar on such and such a theme" or "We would like to plan such and such a business event", please feel free to contact the Business Subcommittee.

Cultural Group

The Cultural Group holds a calligraphy class on the third Wednesday of each month. In addition, we have also held classes in kimono dressing and flower arrangement. We plan to continue to hold events and classes that may be of interest to our members.

We also hold regular "safe driving seminars" in Japanese and "health seminars" on medical ／ and nursing care, etc., to help members, non-members, and the community at large ・ live comfortably and safely in our area. We help members and non-members of the community to live comfortably and safely in our community. We also encourage members and non-members to get to know each other through events such as cooking classes. We will continue to work with young people who have just arrived in the U.S., as well as with elderly people who live alone, to reduce and prevent isolation. We will continue to provide a wonderful opportunity for people to meet each other and be glad to be a member of our club. Sports Subcommittee

The Sports Subcommittee plans events such as golf tournaments and sports games to promote health and friendship among members. Non-members are welcome to participate in any of these events. We will continue to provide opportunities for our members to enjoy themselves by organizing more events such as bowling tournaments and exchanges with other sports clubs in the Chicago area.
