Koguma Kindergarten has created a curriculum that incorporates the five domains of health, relationships, environment, language, and expression in order to foster the ability to live, the original purpose of early childhood education. We have created a curriculum that incorporates the five areas of health, relationships, environment, language, and expression.
With the aim of improving Japanese language education and deepening interest in Japanese culture in American society, we incorporate childcare in Japanese and Japanese events. We import teaching materials from Japan and offer "Sen no Okeiko" for 3 year olds and "Hajimete no Aiueo" for 4 year olds.
Our goal is for children to be able to write their own names in hiragana by the time they graduate.
We will also share with parents and staff how their children are doing at home and in kindergarten using the Parents' Notebook.

Infant Center （ 5 months to 2 years ）

We emphasize a rhythm of sleep, food, and play that matches your child's development. We encourage fun and relaxed play indoors with hand games, picture books, and toys, and in the dedicated play yard with sand play, swings, slides, balls, and other activities. We occasionally interact with children from the adjacent kindergarten over the fence. We provide daily updates on your child's progress in the parent's notebook to ensure communication and a home-like environment where both parties can watch over your child's healthy development.
If you wish, your child can move up to the adjacent kindergarten from the month following his/her 2nd birthday.

Hours of care ✽ Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
