The Academy of St Martin in the Fields is one of the world’s finest chamber orchestras, renowned for fresh, brilliant interpretations of the world’s greatest orchestral music. Formed by Sir Neville Marriner in 1958 the orchestra, now led by Joshua Bell, has gained an enviable international reputation for its distinctive, polished and refined sound. This program features one of Schumann’s final compositions (written around the time Schumann met a young Johannes Brahms) and Brahms’ uplifting second symphony.

West Side Story exploded onto Broadway in 1957 in a sensational storm of exuberant dance and wistful romance. It was a phenomenon that never faded “an incandescent piece of work” (The New York Times).

In response to the "Inagi Peace City Declaration" enacted on March 7, 1991, the "Inagi Peace Concert" will be held as an opportunity to share the importance and preciousness of peace.

Mass in Exile is a deeply moving new work for chorus and orchestra by composer Mark Buller and librettist Leah Lax, whose previous collaborations include Overboard, commissioned by Houston Grand Opera. In Mass in Exile, composer and librettist embark on a gripping, personal exploration of their strict religious pasts. Together, they glimpse the possibility of a different kind of faith within an ailing world.

This six piece show features some of Sydney’s finest musicians and Dion’s voice will have you believing it’s Jeff Lynne up on stage.

As the winter winds quell and the flowers of spring begin to blossom, CSO Creative Partner Matthias Pintscher conducts the Orchestra in works capturing the feeling of life beginning anew. Copland’s Appalachian Spring shines with the “Simple Gifts” of the season. After wowing CSO audiences in 2021 and 2022, pianist Conrad Tao returns for the world premiere of a CSO commissioned work from composer inti figgis-vizueta, whose music “feels sprouted between structures” (The Washington Post). Then, Schumann's Symphony No. 1 triumphantly ushers in the Spring season.

The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, founded in 1918, has claimed its place among Europe, and the world's, most exciting orchestras. The Orchestra has distinguished itself with its intensely energetic concerts sure to create an unforgettable performance in Steinmetz Hall. In recent years, the Orchestra has been led by three of the worlds most respected conductors, Valery Gergiev, Yannick Nezet Seguin, and its current dynamic principal conductor Lahav Shani.

The Symphony and guest narrator, 10TV News anchor Angela An, take you back to the year 1903 when two brothers named Wilbur and Orville flew the first self-powered airplane. The orchestra recreates the sounds of plane engines and the excitement of flight in this fascinating story of perseverance. The World-Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra will perform their greatest hits, including “In The Mood”, “Chattanooga Choo Choo”, “American Patrol”, “A String Of Pearls”, “Little Brown Jug”, “Pennsylvania 6-5000”, Tuxedo Junction”, and of course their theme song “Moonlight Serenade” as they continue their national tour. The 17 member orchestra, their lead singers, and vocal group will perform their catalog of big band classics just the way they would have over 80 years ago when Glenn Miller stood in front of his band. It is a show that continues to transport audiences back in time and is as nostalgic as it is exciting.

In this program we let you discover classical music that is all too seldom heard, because remaining in Mozart’s shadow: two of Haydn’s lesser-known symphonies, as well as one of the best 18th century flute concertos, written by Carl Stamitz.

Conductor Delyana Lazarova returns, leading ROCO's full chamber orchestra in a high-octane program brimming with dynamic energy! Elfrida Andree’s colorful, lyrical Symphony No. 2 in A Minor, with its exuberant opening theme, paves the way for the U.S. premiere of Richard Danielpour's "Voci del Purgatorio", a journey to rebirth - the second movement of his Symphony in Three Movements After the Divine Comedy of Dante Alighieri. Then, thrill to Jessica Meyer’s Go Big or Go Home – a work “written from a place of self-realization, empowerment, and celebration of how joyous life can be”, featuring blues guitar phenom Clay Melton and his band. The Houston Youth Symphony returns as special guest, with a side-by-side performance of Franz Schubert's richly textured and emotionally laden Overture in the Italian Style. Rounding out the program is the Fantasie Homage to Schubert, an alluring work by Bulgarian-British composer Dobrinka Tabakova, whose distinct soundworld has been called “riveting, piercingly beautiful and frequently radiant”.

Throw open the window and escape to Neverland with Wendy, John, Michael, and the one and only wild child, Peter Pan. Trey McIntyre’s highly praised take on the boy who refused to grow up is a playful and thrilling interpretation of J.M. Barrie’s 1911 novella that juxtaposes childhood whimsy with the weighty responsibilities of adulthood. ‘Pan features spectacular flying sequences, swashbuckling sword fights, giant puppets, and Tinker Bel.

Symphonic Rockshow combines a classical symphony with a rock band to breathe new life into time-tested classic rock anthems. At its core, the five-piece band, led by renown vocalist/producer Brody Dolyniuk faithfully recreates the music of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Who and many more with astonishing accuracy, but then adds the power and dynamics of a 21-piece (or larger) orchestra for a truly unique and powerful musical experience.
