Mark your calendar for the first-ever Taste of Somalia Summer Festival 2024 which will transport Nathan Phillips Square into a vibrant journey through the streets and markets of Somalia, offering the captivating flavors of Somali Music, Art, Heritage, and Culture. The festival aims to present a dynamic blend of emerging local talents, beloved classics, and some of today's leading performers in Toronto's vibrant Somali community.

Deepening community and understanding for the rich culture of Iran with Persian poetry, tea, modern music and traditional dance, the festival brings together Iranians, Iranian-Americans, non-Iranians in celebration of the culture.

‘M+ Sigg Collection: Another Story’ takes a visual approach to examine the styles and practices of contemporary Chinese art from the 1990s to the present. The exhibition surveys how artists reconsider their cultural identities and express their uncertain state of being during China’s rapid modernisation in the 1990s. It brings together a multitude of works that exhibit qualities of overflowing visuals, ambiguous meanings, obsessions with transiency, and traditional interpretation. It offers a different perspective on understanding contemporary Chinese art and foregrounds its unique visual language through the lens of artists who strive for self-presence.

EVERGREEN [to grow] is a dazzling musical experience through the traditional concert setting that features Caroline Shaw’s The Evergreen into a culturally relevant crisis, thus affecting our everyday lives. This cross-discipline project brings about new collaborative experiences through the artistic and scientific lens, and raises awareness of climate change in the city of Dallas.
