  Mayor's Update     Hello neighbor! You can’t say it doesn’t get hot in South San Francisco! I hope everyone’s found ways to stay cool and safely enjoy the Fourth of July. One of my favorite places to cool down is at the Library and Parks & Rec Center which does serve as a Cooling Center when we have two or more consecutive days of 90+ degree heat. This free event will take place at Orange Memorial Park from 11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Family and friends of all ages are encouraged to join in the festivities. NAMI is the largest grassroots mental health organizations in the US working to improve the quality of life for individuals and families affected by mental illness through support, education, and advocacy. NAMI San Mateo County (SMC) offers free support groups and education programs for county residents, as well as information on how to access local recovery-based services through a dedicated helpline.
