遭難者を救助する上で捜索は必要不可欠ですが、地上捜索隊が大人数で入山したとしても興奮したクマに遭遇すれば、生死に直結する危険が伴います。
近年は竹の子など山菜採りの入山者が、山林でクマに襲われる被害が度々発生し、特に今年に入って他市では行方不明者を捜索中の警察官が山林でクマに襲われ負傷する事案が発生するなど、立ち入り禁止区域内外を問わず、山林内で地上捜索隊を動員しての捜索は非常に危険を伴うことから極めて困難となっています。
そのため今後は、ヘリコプターを使用した空からの捜索と、林道など車輌使用した捜索を中心に実施することになりました。
こうしたことを踏まえて、入山・入林を予定されている方には、立ち入り禁止場所への立ち入りを絶対にしないよう強く要請し、立ち入り禁止場所以外へ入山される場合でも、細心の注意を払って頂くようお願いします。
