Mayor Bruce Harrell Appoints Queniya Mays to the Public Safety Civil Service Commission

We are pleased to welcome Queniya Mays, a mayoral appointee, to the Public Safety Civil Service Commission (PSCSC). Commissioner Mays began her three-year term on January 1, 2025.

Ms. Mays brings a wealth of experience and dedication to public service. With over 18 years of expertise in human resources roles across the United States Army, City of Seattle, King County, and the State of Washington, she has established herself as a leader in her field.

In addition to her public service, Ms. Mays has contributed significantly to the private and non-profit sectors. As CEO of JL Consulting Group LLC and Director of HR Services & Entrepreneurship at Vault89, she oversees programs that provide training and mentorship to previously incarcerated individuals, exemplifying her commitment to equity and justice in employment.

Ms. Mays’s professional experiences reflect her fitness for this appointment and her dedication to fairness in all aspects of her work. We thank her for her willingness to serve on the PSCSC and look forward to her valuable contributions.
