The Pedestrian Access Advisory Committee (PAAC) was established to discuss Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access needs in the public right-of-way (ROW) for those living with disabilities in the City of Seattle.

Hello PAAC Members,

We wanted to notify you that due to scheduling conflicts, we are cancelling our Q3 PAAC meeting for October 2024. We will use our newsletter email system to provide updates and announcements.

 

Next week we will use our new email system be provide a newsletter for updates from the ADA Program and other items to report on such as our Tactile Walking Surface Indicators Pilot Project adjacent to the University District light rail station.

 

As a reminder:

The ADA Program at the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is searching for participants to test and provide feedback on a new tactile surface treatment recently installed near the northwest entrance of the University District light rail station and adjacent passenger loading zone on Brooklyn Ave NE. Participation is open to Blind and low vision people who use white canes and/or guide dogs as well as people who use mobility devices.
