Axon Registry in Collaboration with Verana Health Discontinues Participation as a QCDR for 2024

Axon Registry in Collaboration with Verana Health is discontinuing participation in the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) as a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) for performance year 2024. Due to this change, 6 QCDR measures included in 2 finalized MIPS Value Pathways (MVPs) are no longer available for the 2024 MIPS performance year.

The 6 American Academy of Neurology (AAN) QCDR measures were only available to Axon Registry in Collaboration with Verana Health participants, as QCDR measures within an MVP are only required to be reported by the QCDR measure owner. No other QCDRs were granted permission to support the AAN QCDR measures for the 2024 performance year. The QCDR measures within the MVPs in the table below can’t be reported for the 2024 MIPS performance year.

What If I Registered to Report an Impacted MVP?*

You can still report the  Supportive Care for Neurodegenerative Conditions MVP [ https://qpp.cms.gov/mips/explore-mips-value-pathways/2024/M0004 ] and the Optimal Care for Patients with Episodic Neurological Conditions MVP [ https://qpp.cms.gov/mips/explore-mips-value-pathways/2024/M0003 ] using another collection type or reporting other quality measures. There are enough quality measures available within each MVP to meet the quality reporting requirements without the use of QCDR measures. If you feel the MVP is no longer applicable, you can review the Explore MVPs webpage [ https://qpp.cms.gov/mips/explore-mips-value-pathways ] for other available MVPs. You can update your registration on the QPP Website [ https://qpp.cms.gov/ ] until the deadline on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 8 p.m. ET.

You can also meet MIPS reporting requirements through traditional MIPS and the APM Performance Pathway (APP).
