The 12th Annual Nikkei American Remembrance Film Festival
A film screening will be held to commemorate the forced relocation ・ and incarceration of Japanese Americans in concentration camps in the United States during World War II.
The film will be shown in 5 programs in total. Tickets can be purchased for each program.

Program 1 ： -FILMS OF RESISTANCE- （ SF ： 10am ／ SJ ： 10:30am ）
The theme of this program is a form of resistance to oppression associated with wartime incarceration are typically addressed. Many of these stories have long been suppressed and those who resist on their own have been ostracized. This program gives voice to once marginalized resisters of conscience.

Program 2 ： -Rediscovering History- （ SF ： 11:55 am./SJ ： 12:25 pm. ）
A dramatic short story about migration from a concentration camp to Chicago and the Manzanar concentration camp A fantasy romance about two young women set in the ruins of the camp will be screened.

Program 3: -Rooted in History- (SF ： 2:15pm. / SJ ： 2:45pm.)
ROOTED IN HISTORY features blooming roses, Japanese gardens, and literally digging up history It is a series of three short documentary films focused on By digging through the layers of history, you will discover new stories about the Japanese American experience.

Program 4 ： -THE ART OF ACTIVISM- （ SF: 4:35pm ／ SJ: 5:05pm ）
A movement led by three Nisei women to create stamps honoring Nisei WWII soldiers and We follow a movement by a Santa Clara County judge to honor former inmates. Interpreting the wartime evictions from Bainbridge Island through art, the artists will develop an art exhibit on the sidewalks that led to the wartime expulsions.

Program 5 ： -Untold Stories- （ 18:30~/19:00~)
UNTOLD STORIES will feature the anguish faced by Japanese Americans who "voluntarily" immigrated from the West Coast and the opportunity to leave the concentration camps. The short films dramatize the cruel realities faced behind barbed wire by the young Nisei who were given the opportunity to leave the internment camps.
