2023年で画業50周年を迎える漫画家・魔夜峰央の原画を中心とした企画漫画展。完成度が高く美しい原画で知られる魔夜作品から、代表作である『パタリロ！』『ラシャーヌ！』をはじめ、埼玉で人気の『翔んで埼玉』原画のほか、作家独自の美意識あふれる世界観を感じられる関連資料等や本邦初公開の愛用品等、多数展示します。

Black Artists of Oregon, highlighting and celebrating the work of Black artists in and outside the collection, will deepen awareness of the talented artists that have shaped and inspired artists regionally and nationally.

Across her work in moving image, text, and collage, Sophia Al-Maria addresses the orientalist gaze and residual histories of colonialism in the context of contemporary culture and society. This exhibition brings together for the first time her trilogy of recent films along with collages and sculptural additions weaving throughout the installation, creating a multidimensional context in which to experience Al-Maria’s filmic trilogy.

On July 14, 1873, a much-anticipated telegram announced that Tacoma had been chosen as the terminus, or end of the railway line, for the Northern Pacific Railroad transcontinental. This exhibition is drawn from the Historical Society’s collection and features original documents, objects, and photographs connected to that event and its impact on Washington State.

The first rotation in this exhibition focuses on portraits created between 1929 and 1992 by Leon Schulman Gaspard, Alfred Leslie, Alice Neel, Winold Reiss, and Andrew Wyeth. Opening July 12, the second rotation keys off Charles Burchfield’s exuberant Clouds and Windblown Hay to look at the fleeting effects of weather in watercolors made between 1950 and 1989 by artists from Washington State,

The Arts of Oceania gallery will reopen with the presentation of a new temporary exhibition, Islands Beyond Blue: Niki Hastings-McFall and Treasures from the Oceania Collection. This presentation showcases the work of celebrated contemporary artist Niki Hastings-McFall, who will create site-specific work in conversation with works from the DAM’s Arts of Oceania collection.

This site-specific Design and Build outreach installation was created collaboratively by Design and Build program alumni and local artists, Scottie Burgess and Tiffany Matheson. The project was created in partnership with the Lowry Foundation as part of several artworks that contribute to the Lowry Art + Architecture loop, which celebrates the Lowry Foundation’s 25th anniversary. Furthermore, this exhibition was created through partial funding received from Denver Arts & Venues’ P.S. You Are Here grant program, Clark’s Market and MOA.

Personal Geographies: Trent Davis Bailey ǀ Brian Adams presents a selection of images by two artists who seek to understand themselves and the places they treasure though photography. The exhibition is divided into two galleries, one featuring 32 photographs by Trent Davis Bailey and the other 19 by Brian Adams.

A collaborative, contemporary art exhibit created by the Longmont Museum and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, "agriCULTURE: Art Inspired by the Land,” pairs more than 15 local and national artists with farmers throughout Boulder County to create three site-specific, new visual works. The exhibit draws on the expertise of farmers and the inspiration of nature and invites visitors to examine their own connections to the land and natural world. This multi-venue exhibition features art at both museums, plus three local farms: Ollin Farms in Longmont, the Boulder JCC Milk & Honey Farm and the Agricultural Heritage Center in Longmont. Experience multi-media artwork that explores how farming is connected to issues such as climate change, water rights, ancestral lands, local history, environmental impacts, cultural heritage, and so much more.

On the 125th anniversary of the Spanish-American-Cuban-Philippine War, the National Portrait Gallery will open the first exhibition to examine this pivotal period through the lens of portraiture and visual culture.

The 2023 James and Audrey Foster Prize exhibition presents the work of Cicely Carew (b. 1982 in Los Angeles), Venetia Dale (b. 1981 in Winfield, IL), and Yu-Wen Wu (b. in Taipei, Taiwan).

Having received the Kwon Jin Kyu collection in 2021, the Seoul Museum of Art has transformed five exhibition rooms on the 1st floor of Nam Seoul Museum into a permanent exhibition space dedicated to Kwon JinKyu's valuable works and materials.
