The "2023 Autumn Start Vaccination" using the new novel corona vaccine corresponding to Omicron strain XBB.1.5 will begin on September 20 (Wed.).

1 ． Eligible persons
Those aged 6 months or older who have completed the first vaccination and more than 3 months have passed since the previous vaccination
*Additional vaccination (4th dose) will also be available for infants (aged 6 months to 4 years).

2 ． Vaccine used
Omicron strain XBB.1.5 compatible monovalent vaccine manufactured by Pfizer or Moderna
*Regulatory approval is scheduled in Japan around early September.
*As opposed to bivalent vaccines containing components of both conventional strains and Omicron strains (BA.1 or BA.4/5), this monovalent vaccine is specialized for the Omicron strain XBB.1.5, which is currently prevalent, and is expected to be more effective.

3 ． About Vaccination Coupons
Vaccination coupons will be sent approximately 3 months after the last vaccination. In addition, on August 31st (Thursday), we sent out vaccination tickets for those who were 12 years old or older and had completed their last vaccination by June 2023.
*The inoculation tickets will not be sent to those who have unused inoculation tickets at hand. Please use the vaccination ticket in your possession.
*If you have lost your vaccination ticket or if you have moved to Yachiyo City after your last vaccination, you will need to apply for it.

4 ． Vaccination system (12 years old and older)
① Individual vaccination (at medical institutions in the city)
*Sequentially from September 20 (Wednesday)
*Children (5 ～ 11 years old) ・ will start around the end of September and infants in early October Scheduled to start in early October.
② Group vaccination (at the city health center)
*September 23 (Sat.). The days of the week are Saturday (afternoon) ・ Sunday(all day).

5 ． Reservation method
① Reservation through the city reservation system (call the call center or make a reservation online)
Reservations for those 12 years and older will be accepted from 8:30 am on September 15(金)
*Started in autumn 2023 If you wish to be vaccinated, please do not make an appointment before September 19.
② Make an appointment directly with a medical institution
For details on how to make an appointment at each medical institution, please refer to the list to be posted on the city website at a later date.
③ Reservations by mail to the city
Reservations for group vaccination can be made using the reservation form enclosed with the vaccination ticket

6 ． Others
From September 20, Omicron strain XBB.1.5 compatible monovalent vaccine will also be used for the first vaccination.
