* *Routes 161 and RapidRide A Line* will have stop #60900 International Boulevard & S 176th Street - Bay 2 (northbound) closed Friday, August 15 to Saturday, August 16 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily;
* *Routes 1 and 14* will have stop #11940 S Jackson Street & 18th Avenue S (westbound)closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 16;
* *Route ST 545* will have stop #1050 Olive Way & 8th Avenue (eastbound) and Stop #1070 Olive Way & Terry Avenue (eastbound) relocated from Friday, August 15 at 11:59 p.m. to Monday, August 18 at 5 a.m. due to a full closure of northbound I-5;

* *Routes 4 and 48* will be rerouted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 16 for the Tears of Action March;
* *Route 168* will have stop #62287 SE 272nd Street & 150th Place SE (westbound) closed on Saturday, August 16 until 12:30 p.m. due to the Lake Meridian Triathlon;
* *Route 50* will be rerouted off 61st Avenue SW and 63rd Avenue SW north of SW Admiral Way from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, August 16 for Alki Beach Pride;

Heads up: Major I-5 lane closures underway — take transit and avoid stress!

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has begun major *Revive I-5* [ https://wsdot.wa.gov/construction-planning/search-projects/revive-i-5-ship-canal-bridge-preservation ] repair work on the northbound Ship Canal Bridge.

WSDOT’s project aims to give the aging Ship Canal Bridge some much-needed TLC. The result will be smoother roads and better safety — but first, the region must power through some serious traffic challenges.

Retired Metro manager honored nationally for trailblazing transit innovation

One of King County Metro’s longtime experts in helping people easily move around the region has been nationally honored, and this agency couldn’t be prouder.

Carol Cooper, King County retired Metro Managing Director for Market Innovation, has earned one of the nation’s highest honors in Transportation Demand Management (TDM): Induction into the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame “celebrates industry trailblazers whose dedication to advancing TDM…has left a lasting legacy. This prestigious recognition celebrates leaders whose visionary contributions have elevated the field, shaped policy and inspired progress in communities across the country. Their passion, influence and leadership have transformed the industry and enriched the lives of countless colleagues and communities.”
