New Work Group Advances Seattle’s Commitment to Anti-Displacement

We recently announced a partnership with the City's Innovation and Performance Team to launch an Anti-Displacement Work Group. This group unites key department leaders and policymakers across the City to develop targeted solutions that will help residents and businesses stay in their communities as the city grows.

Germany's Dialogues for Urban Change (D4UC) Visits Seattle

Urban Planners from Germany were in Seattle last week for a week-long visit to various communities. In the photo above, we joined a walking tour of Yesler Terrace, led by the Seattle Housing Authority. Muckleshoot Tribal School Visits OPCD/City Hall

Youth from the Muckleshoot Tribal School visited our offices last month to learn more about Indigenous urban planning, led by our Indigenous Planner Tim Lehman and Equitable Development Initiative (EDI) development specialist Dakota Murray (on the left in the photo). We appreciate their interest and curiosity in the urban planning field!

Celebrating Khmer New Year

Our staff recently attended a Khmer New Year celebration at South Seattle College. The event was hosted by our EDI partner Khmer Community of Seattle King County (KCSKC) and featured cultural performances by youth and elders.
